# Notetaker, a deduplicated inbox, and native scheduling

Meetings recorded, transcribed, and summarized automatically; a cross-provider inbox deduplicated into clean threads; and fully white-label scheduling, all native to Lighthouse.
Alberto Marzetta - Co-founder @ Lighthouse

A CRM only earns its keep if every email, meeting, and message lands in the right place automatically. Lighthouse now handles that whole layer natively: your inbox, meetings, and scheduling all live inside the platform.
Here's what's new:

- New Meeting Notetaker: recording, transcription & summaries Connect your calendar once and the notetaker links itself to your meetings automatically, with no manual setup. It joins each call, records it, transcribes it, and drops a clean summary straight into the CRM against the right company and people, and you can shape those summaries by giving it the instructions you want. Meetings booked through Lighthouse are captured the same way.
- New A deduplicated, cross-provider inbox Email threads correctly across Google, Microsoft, IMAP, and Yahoo, deduplicated into one clean conversation per thread, so every message lands against the right company and contact instead of scattering.
- New One notetaker per meeting, not five When several teammates from the same shared workspace are invited to the same call, Lighthouse sends a single notetaker instead of one per person, so you get one clean recording and summary, not a crowd of bots in the meeting.
- New Native, white-label scheduling Send fully branded booking pages and confirmation emails straight from Lighthouse, with no third-party scheduler and no outside branding. Anything booked this way is recorded and summarized automatically.
Lighthouse is an all-in-one platform for venture capital investors: sourcing, startup intelligence, relationships, the CRM, conversations, meetings, and files, all in one place. It was built by three founders without a Series A, and that is only possible because the hard parts run on infrastructure we did not have to build ourselves.

## You do not need the round anymore

The tooling that used to demand a large seed round and a team of ten or twenty engineers now fits inside three founders and a coding agent. We build against APIs by handing our agent the documentation directly, so when a client asks for a feature the turnaround is measured in days, not quarters.

## The plumbing you cannot afford to build

Lighthouse lives on communication data. Email that threads correctly, meetings that get recorded and summarized, and scheduling that just works are each weeks of work with sharp edges, and building all of them as a small team was not realistic. So we built them on Nylas.

## What we built on Nylas

Nylas is our communications layer. We built our own email client on top of it, leaning on normalized cross-provider threading so an investor sees clean, grouped conversations whether the account is Google, Microsoft, IMAP, or Yahoo. We shipped Notetaker to clients: a single call attaches a calendar-aware bot to a meeting, and it stays in sync as the time or link changes. And we built our own white-label booking page on the Scheduler API, with branded confirmation and reminder emails and no outside branding anywhere in the flow.

## Why Nylas

Our differentiator is the vertical product built for how VCs operate, not email plumbing or meeting bots. Nylas lets us stay on the part that is ours: email, Notetaker, and scheduling behind a single integration; depth on the hard parts like calendar-aware bot joining and conversation IDs; pay-as-you-go pricing that suits a young company; and separate apps per environment, so we test against production-grade infrastructure without touching anything live.
This is drawn from [the Nylas case study](https://www.nylas.com/case-study/lighthouse-nylas-case-study/) on how three founders built a venture capital OS on Nylas.
